Join us in the Cleveland room every third Thursday for Pop Culture Theology! Each week we will choose a different topic in pop culture, and talk about it through a theological lens. It could be something as specific as The Lord of the Rings, or as general as how secular music can become spiritual. Popcorn will be provided!

This month our theme is Ghosts. Ghosts can be found throughout numerous religious texts, and were central to the Spiritualist movement of the 19th century. They also play a prominent role in books and movies, particularly the ones that we read and watch around this time of year. What do the different portrayals of ghosts in our media reveal about our deep rooted beliefs and fears about life after death? Let’s talk about it!
