Welcome Families

Be warned: The First Church has a growing and ACTIVE program for kids.

Each week, children and parents participate together in the beginning of the service. Children are then invited to the front of the church as a group for a “Children’s Moment.” Visiting parents are invited to join their children at the front during this time, then to accompany them upstairs to meet our Religious Education Director, Deb DiGiulio, and the individual classroom teachers.

Children are invited to join the following classes:

Children under 5 Nursery Class
Children 5–6 First Steps Class
Children 7–8 Juniors Class
Children 9–14 Seniors Class
Older children Coming of Age Class

After the Service, parents are invited to join our congregation for Fellowship. Children in the Nursery can be picked up at this time. Children in Sunday School will be brought downstairs at noon by their teachers. In addition to coffee, tea, and refreshments, there is always a children’s table with juice and snacks. Fellowship is a nice time to meet other visitors, as well as members and friends of the church.
