to the First Church in Salem

FROM BOSTON:
Take Route 128 North, staying on 128 North (keep left) at the split
of 128 and I-95.
Take exit 25A for ROUTE 114 EAST (see North Shore Mall on left).
This will be the third or fourth exit after the split with I-95.
Follow signs to Salem. NOTE: Rt. 114 is not a straight road. You
will make three major turns to stay on Route 114. FOLLOW THE SIGNS
for 114 EAST.
Continuing down 114, cross over bridge/overpass into downtown Salem.
Pass the Murphy Funeral Home on right (a large white house beyond
a good size parking lot)
At the first light, turn right onto Essex Street (by the Salem
Witch House on the right).
Church is 20 yards down on the right. (Parking is available along
the sides of the building and on the street.
Commuter Rail:
The First Church in Salem is a five to seven minute walk from the
Salem Commuter Rail Station. Salem is a 28 minute ride from North
Station in Boston. To take the train to Salem, catch the Rockport
or Newburyport train from North Station. The schedule is available
at www.MBTA.org. Once at the Salem Station, go up the set of stairs
at the end of the parking lot and proceed across Bridge Street and
down Washington Street. Go three short blocks and turn right onto
Essex Street. The church will be directly in front of you two (very
long) blocks down on the right.

On-street parking is available on Essex Street and Broad Street,
or...at the light for Essex Street, turn left off Route 114 onto
Essex Street and then take first left into YMCA parking lot.
