Sunday, August 14th with The Reverend Thomas Wintle

10:00 am Tom is the Minister of The First Parish Church in Weston. He is a terrific preacher and writer. He is the Editor of the UU Christian Fellowship's Annual Journal. His wife, Suzanne is this year's Massachusetts Teacher of the Year.

 

Sunday, August 21th with The Reverend Jim Matarazzo

10:00 am Ordained in June in the United Church of Christ, Jim always brings a thoughtful and stimulating message to the First Church pulpit. Among other things, he is extremely well traveled and is the college roommate of Jeff Barz-Snell.

 

Sunday, August 28th with Jane Korins

10:00 am Jane is the Director of Pastoral Care at the Northshore Medical Center. We welcome her back to the pulpit. She is a talented speaker and brings a great deal of experience in ministering to the needs of the sick and dying.

John Dominic Crossan, Ph.D.

Join us for a weekend of world-class biblical scholarship and cultural commentary featuring one of America's most well known scholars of the Bible. Professor Crossan makes the world of the Bible come alive and very compellingly relates scripture to our modern culture and society. He will be delivering four lectures including the Bentley Lecture on Sunday, September 25. Tickets for some or all of the lectures can be purchased at the First Church or the Salem Athenaeum.
